  • Thank you to the Spinal Injuries Association for hosting yet another fantastic Gunpowder Ball last week in London. As well as raising money for a worthy cause, enjoying a lovely meal and some time on the dance floor, it was a great opportunity to catch up with the Active Care Group Case Management division, including Samantha Barker from Northern Case Management Limited, pictured below with Business Director Teresa Rey-Salomon. Congratulations on 50 years SIA 🎉 #GunpowderBall2024

  • Winter is in full swing and it’s getting much colder. We wanted to take this chance to encourage you to look out for those around you this winter who may be struggling. We’ve put together three slow cooker recipes from BBC Good Food that you could cook and take to a neighbour, family member or to warm your family! 💜

  • Case Manager Karen Lovell recently shared with us her love for volunteering to offer respite for dogs from the Guide Dog Association, and we couldn’t resist sharing this photo of one of her lovely furry friends! Karen said, “I love volunteering for the Guide Dog Association as it allows me to meet some incredible puppies and dogs along the way (as well as other incredible volunteers!) Just like children, each and every one of our four-legged friends have their own unique personality, some cheeky and fearless and others are more reserved and sensitive and need a little encouragement along the way. It provides my children with a wonderful opportunity to take some responsibility managing a puppy from basic care to practising some training techniques. I have had a few chewed slippers along the way, but there is nothing better that the rewarding feeling knowing that I have contributed to raising a puppy who will then go on and significantly improve the life of someone living with sight loss.”

  • Yesterday, one of our clients achieved their goal of climbing Snowdonia 🎉 Case Manager Nicola Ewell, who accompanied her on the climb, said, “One year ago my client expressed how much she wanted to achieve the goal of climbing Snowdon following her road traffic accident and subsequent injuries. Yesterday that dream was achieved and her positivity for life shone through. Massive well done to her!”
