It's Tank Trouble Tuesday! A fueling facility in Tanknology's Midwest region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 12,000 gallon fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The facility also requested a TankClean® Remote Video UST Cleaning. The tank held regular unleaded.The inspection revealed sludge at the bottom of the tank, which was removed by the TankClean process. The tank was later returned to service. A fueling facility in Tanknology's Western Plains region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 20,000 gallon fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held diesel. The TankCam inspection showed peeling throughout tank and condensation on the tank ceiling. Residue and sludge were seen on the sides and bottom of tank. It’s Tank Trouble Tuesday! A fueling facility in Tanknology's Southeast region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 12,000 gallon steel tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held diesel. The TankCam inspection revealed water dripping down the exterior of the back siphon tube and showed a buildup of possible microorganism growth and calcium deposits. The tank bottom exhibited a build up of sludge, corrosion, debris and water. The riser and tank top also exhibited corrosion.
