About us
TDH was founded in 1965 by Dick Irvin, his brother Tom Irvin and their father Harry Irvin. Their three names combined to form TDH. Harry Irvin began to grow and propagate plant material on their 80 acre farm in Northern Baltimore County. Since a nursery takes about seven years to come to fruition, Dick Irvin began planting the nursery stock at friends and customers homes to supplement the nursery’s income. From there the landscaping business was born. Five years later Dick Irvin had bought out his brother and continued to grow the nursery business. Dick was also stepping into growing the landscape division. Eventually Russ Irvin, Dicks’ son, joined his father and the landscape side of the business bloomed into what is now a multi-million dollar company. In 2006, TDH Nurseries and TDH Landscaping, LLC officially became established as separate entities- TDH Nurseries, LLC and TDH Landscaping, LLC. TDH Landscaping, LLC services include landscape design, landscape lighting, landscape installation, grading and seeding, retaining walls, drainage solutions, patios, walkways, driveways, decking , landscape maintenance, pools, waterfalls, ponds, fountains , and erosion specialists.
