Feb. 23, 1945. It wasn’t just a flag. It was a battle cry. A promise. A symbol of the hell they fought through and the fight still ahead. Iwo Jima wasn’t won in a moment, it was earned in blood, inch by inch. The flag stood for them all, those who came home and those who never did. We remember them. We honor them.

Some moments demand silence. Chris Thompson speaks, and you listen. This isn’t just an interview; it’s an unflinching look at the cost of service and the strength to keep moving. CT's story isn’t only about war, it’s about what comes after. The fight, the scars, the lessons learned through suffering, and the way forward. Premiering Spring 2025.

It's time we made the Old Glory Ultra Relay press release official... A team of 12 Veterans, supported by an Army of crew and sponsors, will run non-stop across the nation carrying a single American flag from San Diego, CA to Washington, DC. The goal? Establish a world record. But this isn't just about records. It's about showing America what Veterans are capable of while raising $1M to support Veteran health and wellness. Click the link to learn more, meet the runners, and see the sponsors who are making it all possible. https://bit.ly/3EHCdBT

It’s time to introduce Team Blue, the third and final squad of Veterans taking on the Old Glory Ultra Relay. They're pushing limits, carrying a single American flag from San Diego to DC in a world record attempt—all while raising $1 million for Veteran health and wellness. No shortcuts. No excuses. Just grit, endurance, and purpose. The Runners: Bill Savage – Bill is a former Army Ranger and Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. He spent his military career training and deploying across three continents. Now? He’s an ultramarathoner, Ironman 70.3 competitor, and long-distance cyclist who refuses to slow down. Gavin Woody – A West Point and Stanford MBA grad, Gavin is a seasoned endurance athlete with over 100 ultramarathons under his belt—including wins at the brutal Iditarod Trail Invitational 350 and Bigfoot 200. When he’s not conquering extreme races, he’s serving on nonprofit boards supporting outdoor education and avalanche safety. Zach Polega – Zach is a former Infantry Officer, Ranger, and 82nd Airborne veteran who survived a grenade explosion during a special operations mission. Instead of slowing down, he turned his recovery into a mission—competing in the DoD Warrior Games twice and now working to enhance warfighter readiness at Oura Ring. Josh Kraus – A Navy Veteran and former Search and Rescue Swimmer, Joshua lives by the motto: So Others May Live. Whether it’s a fast 5K or a grueling 100-miler, he attacks every race with discipline and resilience, inspiring other Veterans to push their limits. 450 miles. 4 days. 2 Veterans who refused to quit. 🚴♂️ When Veterans and Team RWB Chapter Captains Franz Haller and Mark Jarrett decided to bike from Atlanta to Daytona Beach, they knew it wouldn't be easy. Crashes, muscle fatigue, and freezing temps tried to stop them. But that's not how Eagles operate. "We started as two friends on bikes, but we finished as a stronger team," Jarrett said. "This ride reminded me why we never quit." Read how they pushed their limits and proved what's possible when Veterans tackle challenges together. https://bit.ly/430fH1h
