December 1st: World AIDS Day. Today, the Human Resource Association of Central CT (HRACC) stands in solidarity to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and honor those affected by HIV and AIDS. As HR, Talent, and DEIB professionals, we have the power to create workplaces that: ✅ Educate employees on HIV/AIDS to foster understanding and compassion. ✅ Support those living with HIV through inclusive health benefits and non-discriminatory policies. ✅ Encourage a culture of acceptance by addressing stigma head-on. ❤️ Did you know? Many employees living with HIV face workplace challenges, including bias and a lack of access to equitable healthcare. Let’s commit to being allies and advocates by creating safe spaces where employees feel valued. Action Step: Review your organization’s policies and benefits to ensure they support employees living with chronic conditions. Small changes can make a big impact! Together, we can build a workplace—and a world—where compassion and inclusion lead the way. #WorldAIDSDay #EndHIVStigma #InclusionMatters #HRLeadership #HRACC

Today, the Human Resource Association of Central CT (HRACC) recognizes and honors the cultures, histories, and contributions of Native American communities. As HR professionals, we have a unique opportunity to create workplaces that celebrates Indigenous heritage, respects Native voices, and amplifies diversity. Connecticut has a rich Native American heritage, with several recognized tribes, including the Mashantucket Pequot, Mohegan, and Eastern Pequot Tribal Nations. These communities have deep cultural and historical ties to the region, contributing significantly to the state's heritage. Here’s how HR Professionals and Employers can make a meaningful impact: -Acknowledge and respect Indigenous land and heritage in workplace events and policies. -Provide cultural awareness training to educate and inform about Indigenous histories and contributions. -Partner with Indigenous-led organizations to support hiring and community initiatives.
