This week the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) joined a joint Eurasian Group (EAG) and Asia/Pacific Group on Money Laundering (APG) Workshop on Innovative Finance around implementation of FATF standards in relation to Virtual Assets and Virtual Asset Service Providers. The Eurasia Group (EAG) on combating money laundering and financing of terrorism was established in 2004 and includes nine states: Belarus, China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Some good news from the meet so far: 🎯 FATF gave India the highest rating of *regular follow-up* after assessing the country's efforts against activities like money laundering and terror financing :) 🙌 The member countries of EAG will continue having actionable discussions to counter money laundering and cybercrimes: a win-win for everyone! 🇮🇳 Last but not the least, Signzy was one of the 20 fintech startups chosen to represent India in the event! -Btw, some crucial metrics for EAG's financial evaluation is a country’s financial security system, its mechanisms to combat money laundering, terror financing, and cybercrime. All themes important for Signzy as well as the nation's digital growth...
