During the latest Tech to Gov Virtual Job Forum, Acting Director of U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Rob Shriver inspired private sector technologists to join public service: “You’re going to be able to apply for these federal positions, when there previously was an obstacle that kept you from doing so,” he said. “You’re going to be able to explore jobs based on the actual skills that they require. And then when you apply, you’re going to be evaluated based on skills that you bring, not on the degree you hold, or where you may have gained that experience.” Read more about about the Tech to Gov job fair in this Federal News Network article 👉 https://lnkd.in/eRb9mgXM

🤔 What does the federal government's first-ever Chief People Officer do? Check out this episode of Ernest Wayde, Ph.D., M.I.S's Psych in Business podcast to find out. Dr. Wayde interviews our amazing Chief People Officer Elizabeth Kolmstetter about the work of her team, including our intentional focus on holistic employee support, data-driven leadership, and fostering a collaborative culture at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency: https://lnkd.in/eGk7PNk4. It took me a year to find Elizabeth (h/t Jennifer Anastasoff) and a bit longer to lure her away from NASA--but it's definitely been one of the best decisions I've made. Am super grateful to her for everything she has done to ensure the success of our People-First culture.
