To ensure accountability, Steam allows developers to delay a DLC (Downloadable Content) by up to three months if needed. However, if a DLC is canceled, buyers will be eligible for a refund equivalent to the canceled content’s value. Only trusted developers with proven success on Steam can offer season passes, a rule designed to prevent scams but challenging for smaller indie studios.
