I’m an avid reader of Medium's Authority Magazine, so it’s a bit surreal to see my own words on the other side of the page! Not gonna lie, I first had a bit of imposter syndrome when approached to do this interview because Intellectual Property is anything but straightforward. I don’t believe any of us are “authorities” on anything! Especially in the tech-media space, we’re always learning. Those of us who share that mindset and spirit of collaboration, can help others navigate the journey. This conversation encapsulated my experiences (and mistakes) sitting on every side of the IP table - as a marketing exec, a producer, a tech-media entrepreneur and a distributor. Territory that would’ve been more perilous without the support of legal minds like Jason Beekman, Rudyard Ceres, Shelly M. and Adam Thompson along the way! Soleil Space is all about true independence and empowerment - of creators, cultures and communities that we believe can become thriving, sustainable creative economies.
