The way you talk is a mirror of your potential. It's time to sharpen your communication: After all, communication is one of the most vital career skills. Both in a written and verbal sense. If you speak with fear... Your team won't respect you. If you speak with arrogance... Your team will start to resent you. It's important to be measured in your communication. Use these 12 phrases to practice a humble confidence: ❌ I’m not sure what you mean. ✅ Could you clarify this part for me, please? ❌ This isn’t great. ✅ Here’s what we can improve. ❌ It was nothing. ✅ Happy to help. Let me know if there’s more I can do. ❌ I’ll try to get it done. ✅ You can count on me to handle it. ❌ This is too hard. ✅ This is tough, but I’ll find a way. ❌ Do you need something? ✅ How can I support you with this? ❌ You messed up. ✅ Let’s figure out how to fix this together. ❌ This might be a bad idea, but… ✅ Here’s an idea I’d like to share. ❌ That’s unfair. ✅ Thanks for the feedback, how can I improve? ❌ I can’t handle this. ✅ Let me prioritise and get back to you. ❌ Just get it done however you can. ✅ Here’s the outcome we’re aiming for… ❌ That’s not going to work. ✅ Can we explore another approach?
