Hawaii Calling... Delivered a Keynote at an Open House for Inspiredex in Hawaii titled, "Reach for the stars How many of you, at some point in your life, have looked up at the night sky, spotted a bright star, and thought, “Someday, I’ll shine like that”? Raise your hands if you’ve ever felt that spark of ambition! One of the keys to reach for the stars is to the model the stars 1) The Stars of Communication In this room, we are united by our love for communication. But let me tell you a secret: great communicators aren’t born; they’re forged in the fires of failures. Take Steve Jobs. He wasn’t the charismatic speaker we remember when he began. His first presentation? Awkward, stilted, and uninspiring. But Jobs believed in crafting his communication. He rehearsed relentlessly, shaped stories around his product launches, and turned every speech into a performance. We, too, can craft our communication like sculptors chipping away at stone until our words shine like marble. The next time you step onto this stage, ask yourself: “Am I just speaking, or am I painting pictures with my words?” 2) The Stars of Leadership Leadership is about influence, not authority. John Quincy Adams once said, “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader.” 3) The Stars of Resilience Reaching for the stars isn’t always glamorous. Let’s face it – sometimes, it’s messy. But the stars love those who persevere. Do you know who broke the world record for the most rejected book? Jack Canfield, the author of Chicken Soup for the Soul, was turned down 144 times. That’s not rejection; that’s endurance training! He believed in his dream, kept pitching, and today, that “rejected” book has sold over 500 million copies. 4) The Stars of Purpose Finally, the brightest star we must all reach for is purpose. Without purpose, our efforts become like fireworks – a quick burst of light, but no lasting impact. When I think of purpose, I think of Oprah Winfrey. She didn’t just build a talk show; she built a legacy. She used her platform to inspire millions, giving a voice to the voiceless and shining a light on causes that mattered. 5) The Star of Aspiration Neil deGrasse Tyson said it beautifully, “When I look up at the night sky, I feel small. But then I think, I’m part of this universe, and the universe is part of me.” We are part of something vast and extraordinary – a galaxy of voices yearning to make a difference. Reaching for the stars isn’t about arriving; it’s about climbing. It’s about failing, learning, laughing, and shining. As you leave, promise yourself this: the next time you look up at the stars, don’t just admire them. Aspire to be one of them. Aloha ! Thank you Alicia Kate Curtis + Tanishq Wadhwani 🇮🇳 for the platform #praisethelord #keynote #keynotespeaker #corporatetrainer #motivationaltrainer #DJ

  • Kelly Koli’i is a real Hawaiian. He is a big man, who has just as a big a heart. He drives a ten-wheeler truck for a living. If you know trucks, this is the HUGE version. He was born and raised in Nanakuli and graduated from Wai’anae on island of O’ahu. In his younger days, he loved to jam on his guitar the latest hits with his friends. Besides Hawaiian music, he also loves to fish and spend time doing it with his grandson. Kelly Koli’i will perform an Oli at the Opening Ceremony of InspireX Virtual Open House. An Oli is a Hawaiian chant. The origins of Hawaiian chants can be traced back to the early Polynesian settlers who first arrived in Hawaii over 1,500 years ago. These chants were used to communicate and pass on stories, history, and cultural values from one generation to another. In Hawaiian mythology, the god of hula, Laka, is credited with the creation of Oli. Many Oli are associated with religious practices, such as invoking blessings, expressing gratitude, or honoring gods. Come and witness a real Hawaiian perform this very special ritual at our upcoming InspireX Virtual Open House. RSVP: bit.ly/reserve-inspiration

  • Born and raised in Mindanao, the Southern part of the Philippines, Jan Cerizo speaks Cebuano, Tagalog and Ilokano. Her family immigrated to the United States and settled in Hawaii four decades ago. In her younger years, she was involved in theatre and choir. She feels that involvement in these extra-curricular activities helped her suppress and decrease her fear of public speaking. Therefore, getting into toastmasters seems like a natural progression for her. As a polyglot, she loves to collect and memorize phrases from various languages around the globe and excitedly shares them when the occasion appropriately presents itself. This creative way to start conversations has essentially paved the way for her to expand her network globally. As a result, she is not just a member of Toastmasters Clubs in Hawaii but also in New Zealand and South Africa. She is currently serving as the Club Growth Director of District 49. Jan Cerizo plays various roles in her life: counselor, teacher, wife, sister and friend. As a mother, she considers herself an author of two lives: David’s and Savannah’s. As a grandmother, she gives herself the title The Spoiler-In-Chief to her grandkids: Leilani and Jasper. Currently, she works for MEO as an Employment Program Coordinator. InspireX Toastmasters Club is proud to have her as our Host in our upcoming meeting! RSVP: bit.ly/reserve-inspiration
