When you engage in deep breathing exercises, you’re not just calming your mind—you’re giving your body a direct signal to relax. Deep, intentional breaths activate your parasympathetic nervous system, often called the "rest and digest" system. This shift helps to lower cortisol levels, which in turn reduces the feelings of anxiety and stress that can wreak havoc on your well-being. But the benefits don’t stop there. Regular deep breathing can improve your mood, boost your immune system, and even enhance your focus and concentration. By simply setting aside a few minutes each day for mindful breathing, you’re investing in your mental and physical health in ways that can create lasting change. How to Practice Deep Breathing: 1. Find a Comfortable Position: Sit or lie down in a quiet, comfortable place where you won’t be disturbed. 2. Close Your Eyes: This helps you focus inward and block out external distractions. 3.
