Tomorrow we launch our TeleICU Hub at KIMS (Karnataka Institute of Medical Science) Hubli. So that specialists from KIMS can help patients in surrounding 10BedICU wards in 10 taluka hospitals covering 7 districts of Karnataka. Hon'ble Health Minister Shri Dinesh Gundu Rao, and Hon'ble Medical Education Minister Shri. Sharnaprakash R Patil will grace the event. This state-of-the-art TeleICU hub will provide doctor-to-doctor video capability, hi-res camera view of patients, Electronic medical record and time series data of 5-para patient vitals. We are also introducing several new 10BedICU initiatives around ABDM integration, SmartICUs, Standard ICU Protocols as well as Generative AI based tools for critical care. The 10BedICU project is a philanthropic effort to create ICUs in govt. hospitals to improve critical care capacity in the country. We have currently funded and implemented 10BedICUs in 206 hospitals in 9 states across India. We have also launched 12 TeleICU hubs (like the KIMS Hubli hub) in medical colleges across the country to help with the shortage of medical specialists. (See 10BedICU.org). This is a video created by Dr Akhrei Angami from the NHAK (Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima) to recap the work of the 10BedICU and Dept. of Health and Family Welfare, Nagaland, in launching 10BedICUs in 12 district hospitals covering every district of Nagaland. Its amazing to see how this PPP project got so much done in 1 year!! It has been a delight to work with the State of Nagaland and its dedicated doctors and administrators.
