🚨 November Testing Updates for the TENSOR Project 🚨 Read more: https://lnkd.in/d_rP5FZx We are thrilled to share the progress made during the November pilot testing phase of the TENSOR project! 🌐✨ Our cutting-edge biometric technologies were put to the test in real-world scenarios across three unique use cases, paving the way for a safer and more connected future. 💼 Use Case 1: Evidence Collection at Police of the Czech Republic Leveraging biometric intelligence, including fingerprint and facial recognition, we enhanced suspect identification processes using insights from CCTV footage. 📱 Use Case 2: Digital Forensics at Sisäministeriö - Inrikesministeriet - Ministry of the Interior, Finland Voice and behavioral biometrics helped identify orphan device owners, transforming field investigations while ensuring privacy and ethical standards. 🌍 Use Case 3: Secure Cross-Border Collaboration at the Ministry of Justice, Portugal & the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Moldova We addressed biometric data protection and interoperability challenges with gait and fingerprint biometrics, ensuring seamless cross-border cooperation. About us
TENSOR will provide to Police Authorities and Forensic Institutes, a platform that facilitates the biometric evidence extraction, sharing and storage in cross border environments allowing them to share best practices in an automated, robust, secure, privacy-preserving and scalable manner. In addition, the full potential of biometrics technologies will be exploited and their fusion in case of partial evidence gathered in the crime scenes by forensic institutes strengthening their acceptance in the court of justice. More particularly, TENSOR will equip security practitioners with novel tools focusing on (a) Extraction of biometrics and other more or less distinctive features validated in forensic conditions that assist LEAs in identification, identity verification, intelligence and investigation processes and can be leveraged to unlock criminals’ mobile devices; (b) Sharing of biometrics through secure, automated, scalable exchange of biometric intelligence and court-proof evidence among LEAs in a cross-border manner, enhancing interoperability among legacy systems owned by security practitioners and Forensic Institutes; and (c) Storage of biometrics in a privacy-preserving way through a biometric data protection mechanism enabling revocability of biometric templates. TENSOR will also introduce the one-of-its-kind European Biometric Data Space creating a common ground among LEAs, Forensic Institutes and Security Researchers assisting in the faster adoption of modern biometric solutions

The representatives of the Forensic and Judicial Expertise Center shared their experience about implementation of the TENSOR project, to the participants of the training courses within the Integrated Training Center for Law Enforcement (CIPAL) of the "Stefan cel Mare" Academy of MIA. Discussions were held about the TENSOR platform that will facilitates the biometric evidence extraction, sharing and storage in cross border environments, about the innovative solutions that will be developed within the project.
