About us

Ten Speed is an SEO & Content Marketing agency that partners with Seed to Series C SaaS companies by offering a comprehensive set of services that include: Strategy & SEO consulting, content creation (writing and editing), routine optimization and updating existing content, and content distribution (via social media). Founders Nate Turner and Kevin King started the agency after building and scaling the successful SEO-focused content engine at Sprout Social, which helped fuel growth to over $100m in ARR. After a decade of firsthand learning experiences, Ten Speed was established to help other SaaS founders and marketing leaders create successful content marketing programs of their own. We exist to bring deep expertise and high-quality tactical implementation to companies that otherwise couldn’t pursue content optimization. Ten Speed brings together all of the best parts of SEO tools, strategy consulting and content marketing agencies into one convenient and effective service.

  • The faces behind the team! 👏 A couple of weeks ago, the Ten Speed team gathered in Chicago for our semiannual offsite. We got to enjoy some great food, see some famous landmarks, and watch the Chicago Blackhawks win their home opener 🏒 Getting together in person was the perfect way to strengthen team bonds, align on our goals and strategy, and reflect on how we can continue delivering results for our clients.

  • A well-executed content distribution strategy ensures that the right audience sees your content at the right time. Prioritizing it allows your brand to get its message in front of more people and build stronger relationships with your audience. 🤝 Content distribution is something that B2B SaaS brands know they should focus on and do more of. So why isn't this happening for so many companies? ⬇️ In our recent episode of Content That Grows, Nate Turner and Ryan Sargent unpack the reasons why companies often struggle with distribution. They discuss how to create a distribution schedule, integrate distribution into the content creation process, and track success with the right metrics. 📊 Link to full episode in the comments 👇

  • We know video is a powerful tool. It’s an excellent way to grab your audience's attention and is easy for them to consume. But what happens after they’ve watched the video? Mike Goldberg pointed out that focusing heavily on video production can sometimes lead to a lack of a clear end goal. Every video should be part of a larger journey, bridging the gap between capturing interest and driving action. Whether viewers are filling out a form, downloading a resource, or booking a demo, each video needs to guide them seamlessly toward the next step so that the entire experience is connected and purposeful. • In B2B SaaS, it's a well-known fact that your target audience should be at the forefront of your marketing strategy. Although regularly introducing new features can be beneficial, it may not align with your audience's actual needs. Mike Goldberg makes a great point: Your audience is searching to solve a problem—to alleviate a challenge they are experiencing. They rarely search for product features or information. They're after answers to their questions. You best offer value by providing the answer to that question, whether it's a blog, a white paper, or a video. Prioritize your audience's needs and introduce the specifics of your product or offering after establishing trust. • Content strategy for SaaS companies targeting SMBs should be tailored differently from those targeting mid-market and enterprise companies. SMBs typically seek straightforward, cost-effective solutions with clear, immediate benefits. Mid-market and enterprise companies have complex needs and longer sales cycles, along with higher product costs and the need to convince the C-suite. In one of our latest podcast episodes, Ben Goldstein shared his experience transitioning from a VP of Marketing role to a Director of Content Marketing role, focusing on content leadership. He discussed the importance of community and expert-driven content, as well as creating multiple pathways to convert website visitors. Full episode in the comments! ⬇️ #contentmarketing #seo

  • During the editorial phase, it can be easy to get caught up in the minutiae of line edits—tweaking grammar, punctuation, style, voice, tone, and so on. While these details are crucial, focusing primarily on them can lead us to overlook the bigger picture. To best conserve resources (without sacrificing quality), it's essential to prioritize conceptual edits over line edits. In other words, ensuring that the blog is accomplishing its intended goals. Look at the big picture. Are you communicating your key messages effectively? Is the content aligned with your strategic goals? Is it providing real value to your readers? Line edits polish your content, but concept edits transform it. In our recent podcast episode, Ryan Sargent discusses elevating our content by prioritizing concept edits and making every blog post exceptional. Link to our full episode in the comments 👇

  • The days of relying solely on organic search for your content strategy are long gone. ⬇️ Today’s successful content strategies strike a balance between capturing search opportunities, audience development, engagement, and establishing authority in the field. That's why we're thrilled to announce that Ten Speed now offers two new types of content production: Research Reports and Authority Content. 🏆 We’ve been integrating these content types into our strategies for some time, but many clients still face challenges with bandwidth and expertise to handle this in-house. So, we’ve stepped up our game to provide the support our clients need. For research reports, we'll handle the entire process from start to finish. We’ll help identify the topic and angle, develop survey questions, analyze survey and/or first-party data, interview your team and industry experts, create the content, design it (if desired), and distribute the final report. For authority content, we'll leverage your unique POV to create insightful content on topics beyond search engine results. We already handle much of this for search-focused content, but we’re enhancing our approach with dedicated interviews and social content creation to elevate the SME intake and distribution. These new offerings represent a significant advancement for Ten Speed and our clients. By broadening our content production capabilities, we're now better positioned to address the dynamic demands of the market.
