Big week for #TexASCE! Earlier this week, we unveiled the 2025 Texas Infrastructure Report Card, grading 16 key categories of our State’s infrastructure. Afterward, our members from across Texas came together at the State Capitol to advocate for a stronger, more resilient infrastructure in Texas. From policy training to face-to-face meetings with lawmakers, attendees championed infrastructure funding and smart policy decisions. Since its inception, we've met with hundreds of elected officials to advocate for better roads, improved water systems, and sustainable resources across the State. Thank you to everyone who participated and we hope to see you all again for the 2027 ASCE Texas Legislative Drive-In. #TxCEdrivein #TxIRC #TxLeg #infrastucture #civilengineering

infrastructure investment is critical to communities. Texas had released the latest report card on what is happening in their state American Society of Civil Engineers #infrastructure #investment
What is the State of Infrastructure in the State of Texas? On February 18, 2025, the American Society of Civil Engineers - Texas Section (TexASCE) released the 2025 Texas Infrastructure Report Card in the Press Room of the House of Representatives. How important is this? Not only were most Austin news outlets present, statewide media outlets were present and they asked questions! Infrastructure is the talk of the day in Texas. It’s hot! Our job as TexASCE members is to make it the talk of everyday, not just today. The report card is a snapshot of today’s condition. It’s a statewide overview, not any specific county, city, project or agency. It’s intent is to provide a fact driven status, how this impacts Texans daily and provide recommendations for how we can improve infrastructure and thus improve the grade. So how are we doing? 2025 Texas Infrastructure Report Card Overall Grade C = Mediocre, Requires Attention (Sector by Sector grades in the first comment) Texas doesn’t like to be mediocre. We can (and will) do better! How, you ask? By investing in our future. Infrastructure is the foundation for Texas’ future growth and competitiveness. We need to invest, not just our finances, but also by having policies, standards and robust asset management and planning. #TexASCE #TxCEDriveIn #TxLeg
