About us

Formerly known as the Young Black Professionals of Arkansas,The Arkansas Association of Black Professionals (AABP) , founded in March 2006 is a professional membership organization dedicated to the empowerment of Black leaders and professionals. In just a few short years, the membership has grown to include managers and executives in virtually all disciplines represented in the public and private sectors. The organization's name gives the notion that there is a certain age demographic. Although the majority of members are aspiring professionals, young in age, the organization caters to the young at heart. AABP is the state's premier association of African- American leadership , helping to build the character to grown and sustain the capacity of black professionals, through professional development programs, educational forums and a network of leadership.
