Houston company making strategic chemical via biology
Solugen's leadership was invited back to Washington, D.C. last week for a series of meetings to advance efforts to onshore critical defense chemicals. During our return to the White House and discussions with members of Congress, we underscored the urgency of increasing investments to accelerate this initiative—a bipartisan priority essential for strengthening national security and building a more resilient supply chain for our nation.

Thank you for hosting us Jesse Martinez, invincible, and Esperson Building. We appreciate your hospitality and are excited to continue developing Houston's innovation ecosystem together.
Houston and First Bight Ventures are transforming the Future of Industrial Biology! We were thrilled to be the hosts of First Bight Ventures & BioWell as they present their first cohort at the Esperson Building for an incredible two days of innovation and learning about the impact of industrial biology with Veronica Wu Carlos Estrada Paul Palmer and Jonathan Mercado 🧫 We kicked off the celebration yesterday with a reception where Doug Cameron and councilman Joaquin Martinez shared some wisdom with our guests. This morning we had some inspiring Fireside Chats with Steven Mah, Ph.D., and Tara Karimi, revealing the path forward in industrial biology and the entrepreneurial spirit behind it. BioWell’s Innovative Portfolio Showcase featuring some of their latest cutting-edge projects from First Bight Fund I. We enjoyed dynamic Panel Discussions with with CVC’s from Goodyear, GS Futures BASF and Vitrian. Plus we had an exclusive tour of Cemvita Inc. Pilot Factory which was an amazing experience. A huge thank you to our speakers, panelists, and attendees for making this event a game-changer! We can’t wait to have you back here at invincible and Esperson Building. #IndustrialBiology #BioWellAccelerator #FirstBightVentures #Innovation #StartupEcosystem

Scaling up from lab to production is challenging, but at Cemvita, we've achieved the extraordinary. We not only scaled up the entire upstream process, but we also conquered the toughest part: the downstream process. This phenomenal success is all thanks to the relentless dedication and brilliance of our scientists and pilot team. I'm incredibly proud of the remarkable progress we've made in such a short time. Kudos to our amazing pilot team at Cemvita – your hard work and innovation are truly inspiring!
