Welcome to The Carefullist! Caring for a family member is the ultimate act of love. We know, we've been there. It can also be challenging and lonely. We've been there, too. As a matter of fact, that's how The Carefullist began. We're here for you while you travel this journey. We'll share caregiving resources and tips for what we've learned, along with personal takes on grief, how that process often starts far before a loved one passes away, and how grief can occur with any life-altering change. As the saying goes, when there is a diagnosis there are actually two new patients; the person receiving care and the person giving it. Our hope is that you find this space to be a soft place to land.

Caregiving is like living in two timelines simultaneously. One moment, you're locked into the urgency of right now. The next, your mind stretches far beyond today, wrestling with what’s to come. This constant shift – also called "telescoping of time" – is what makes caregiving super complex. How do you stay present in the now while preparing for an uncertain future? How do we support caregivers through this? The ideal caregiver intervention helps a caregiver hold space for both: the here and now, and the there and then.
