Building a supportive community takes time and effort, but the benefits are worth it for the health and happiness of both mothers, families, and their children. By building a village, parents can provide their children with the care and support they need to grow and thrive. CAA Health invites mothers and families to join us for our It Takes a Village to Raise a Child event, where you can connect with a supportive community and gain valuable resources for your parenting journey. This event is a wonderful opportunity to meet other families, learn from experts, and share experiences in a nurturing environment. Whether you're expecting or already raising children, we believe that every family benefits from a strong network. To learn more and to register, please contact Perinatal Resource Navigator Nyia Milton at nyia@caahealth.org or call 720.263.3555. We look forward to seeing you there! #CAAHealth #melanatedmotherhood

The water that Denver Water provides to homes and businesses is lead-free, but lead can get into the water as it moves through lead-containing household fixtures, plumbing, and water service lines — the pipe that brings water into the property from the water main in the street — that are owned by the customer. Through the Lead Reduction Program, Denver Water is replacing all lead service lines in Denver Water’s service area with copper lines. Denver Water will also provide free water pitchers, filters, and replacement filters for six months after a lead service line is replaced, and adjust the pH of the water to reduce the risk of lead and other metals getting into drinking water from lead service lines or household plumbing. To learn more call (303) 893-2444 or visit https://lnkd.in/dE7y5WaN #DenverWater #leadreductionprogram

Colorado Gives Day is TODAY! https://lnkd.in/dcf-TJzg A huge thank you to everyone who has already supported CAA Health on Colorado Gives Day! This evening is the last chance to donate for Colorado Gives Day. Center for African American Health was established to counter the systemic inequities the African American community continues to experience. Social structural barriers disrupt access to a combination of personal, environmental, and economic factors that play a significant role in one’s health. We are committed to bridging the gap by providing the culturally responsive support and resources necessary for the Black community to live well! Support our efforts by scheduling a tax-deductible gift for Colorado Gives Day when every dollar donated to CAA Health gets a boost. https://lnkd.in/dcf-TJzg #ColoradoGivesDay #CAAHealth
