A big thank you to everyone who attended our first major event at the House of Lords - "Adopting Generative AI in the Right Way". We would also like to extend a special thanks to our speakers Lord Kulveer Ranger Jack Perschke Glen Robinson Harrison Kirby Jamie Horsnell Praveen Karadiguddi Stuart Winter-Tear and again to Lord Kulveer Ranger for hosting us in such a superb venue. We are overwhelmed with the volume of positive feedback and are already planning our next event. In terms of highlights, there were many, but our Ambassador Stuart Winter-Tears speech on "From Cool Tech to Real impact" really hit home. Three quotes from Stuarts speech (credit to Stephen Russell for recalling these!): 1. "If you start with tech you end up with more tech. If you start with business/customers then you end up with more...." (You guessed it) 2. "When considering AI make sure you start with desirability (the business problem), then viability (does it align with strategy), and only with feasibility (the tech) - product." 3. "Adoption is not a tech problem but a change problem. How can you expect AI to understand processes if you don’t?" Great healthy and highly digestable food for thought. Finally, we would like to extend a thanks to our Ambassadors for your ongoing support. Stay tuned!

A long day yesterday which ended with a really worthwhile trip to House of Lords for The Centre For GenAIOps event. Thanks to Jack Perschke Harrison Kirby Sam Hazeldine from Great Wave AI for the invite and the opportunity to meet with a number of really interesting people such as Andy Brown Selena Cox working in this space. A particular highlight was hearing from Stuart Winter-Tear (as others have commented) who was a force of nature with his reflections on where we are with Gen AI. I was too busy listening to capture notes, but a couple of reflections from memory that stood out. “If you start with tech you end up with more tech. If you start with business/customers then you end up with more….” (You guessed it) “When considering AI make sure you you start with desirability (the business problem), then viability (does it align with strategy), and only with feasibility (the tech) - product “ “Adoption is not a tech problem but a change problem. How can you expect Ai to understand processes if you don’t? “ There was much more I didn’t capture but hopefully a write it up will follow. We were not allowed to take photos but I did manage to get this one on the way there!

Great evening yesterday at the House of Lords for the The Centre For GenAIOps for the event 'Doing GenAI the right way'. I gave a speech on my favourite manifesto point: 'Embracing complexity whilst seeking simplicity...', with the rest of the principle I justtttt about managed to fully remember 😂 Often when trying to build reliability and consistency in our applications, we fall into the trap of overengineering GenAI into a complex system instead of stepping back and finding a simpler way that allows us to innovate and iterate with greater pace. I was quickly outshined by Stuart Winter-Tear's speech who spoke about the importance of humans-in-the-loop and the dangers of letting agents run wild without human oversight. Brilliant to finally meet the legend Harrison Kirby as well the rest of the Great Wave AI team Jack Perschke, Sam Hazeldine, James Watson, who sponsored the event alongside Scrumconnect Consulting so big thank you. Also great to meet Toby White Fay Cooper Amy Gardener Rupert Elston Jade Hind Prasad Prabhakaran Vitor Domingos Tom Maisey Naveen Thomas

Last night, I had the privilege of attending an exceptional event at the House of Lords, co-hosted by The Centre For GenAIOps, Scrumconnect Consulting, and Great Wave AI (Jack Perschke, Harrison Kirby, Sam Hazeldine). The event was a testament to the collaborative spirit in the London AI community. A special thank you to our gracious host, Lord Kulveer Ranger, for providing such a prestigious venue and warm support. I was fortunate to speak with Stuart Winter-Tear, one of the speakers, about the demand for innovative, value-focused pricing strategies, and the increasing importance of understanding our problem space in order to create an effective competitive advantage in a time of radical change. Finally, a shout out to some of the attendees I shared the evening with, enjoying discussing our approaches to a future with AI —and capping it off by sharing a great curry! Great Wave AI was delighted to be one of the sponsors at last night’s The Centre For GenAIOps event at UK House of Lords. The topic was how to do GenAI in the right way. There was a consensus that, for enterprise, adopting a probabilistic technology is a major challenge. Processes, technology and people all need to shift to fill the ground between the power of language models and the needs of businesses. The speeches made by Jamie Horsnell, Stuart Winter-Tear, Harrison Kirby, Glen Robinson, Praveen Karadiguddi and Lord Kulveer Ranger were all excellent and super-informative. Thanks so much to Lord Kulveer Ranger for hosting us. To our partner and co-sponsor Scrumconnect Consulting for being so supportive. To our partners and clients NTT DATA, CGI, Microsoft, Vega IT, Taylor Wessing and PXC for coming along, working with us and encouraging us on this journey.
