As part of my month-long eat/pray/love/work in South Africa in September, I got to spend 5 days in the incredible SA bush - what an absolute joy, but what a massive lesson! Five days with almost zero connection was a shock to my system and a huge reality check. I found it so incredibly difficult to switch off from the constant digital connection. Not only was it difficult, but it was absolutely, maddeningly TERRIFYING 😳 . But guess what? The mental clarity, the sense of space in my brain, the creativity unleashed was completely outsize to that short period of time. So! Lesson learnt! I need more of that - we all do. I hope you will give yourselves the gift of time too. I included a pic of the incredible once-in-a-lifetime experience we got to see - a hippo doing a rolly polly, back rub in the shallows, goosebumps stuff 🥰 .
