Our very own Sean Kincaid has been elected to lead the Michigan Chapter of the Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA) !
I’m proud to share that I’ve been elected as the new President of the SMTA Michigan Chapter! This is a huge milestone for me, coming from a PCB manufacturing background. I have been walking PCB plating decks since I was 5 years old. My grandfather started our PCB fab shop in 72, my pops took it over in the 90s, I took over in 2017. Now working in the PCBA world for 5 years. I’ve seen firsthand how much a strong community can accomplish, and I want to help make our chapter a place where everyone feels they can learn, grow, and contribute. What I want to accomplish Bringing people together. Whether it’s industry pros, educators, or students, we all have something to learn from each other. Collaboration is how we drive innovation. Creating real opportunities to share knowledge. I want to host more workshops, events, and hands-on sessions that actually help our members tackle real-world challenges. Mentorship that matters. Helping the next generation of electronics professionals isn’t just important—it’s our responsibility. Connecting Michigan with the world. Our local industry is strong, it's time to show the world how much we have to offer. At the end of the day, our chapter is only as strong as its members. I can’t do this alone, so I’m looking forward to hearing your ideas on how we can make SMTA Michigan the best it can be. Let’s keep moving the industry forward—together. If you’re part of the Michigan electronics community—or want to get involved—reach out. Let’s make it happen. #SMTA #Leadership #ElectronicsIndustry #MichiganChapter #Collaboration
