TX ✈️➡️ NC. Our team headed out to Mebane, North Carolina for a market tour and brand positioning workshop with the developers at Koury Corporation. We had the best time getting a taste of the town & working on their Brand Strategy for some upcoming projects.

Last but not least, the final part in our AI x Environment Series. At The Dealey Group, we've been exploring ways to incorporate AI into our processes while also examining its environmental impact. Here are some surprising facts we discovered which might surprise you too. 👇 🏠 An average AI-supporting server rack uses as much power as 25 houses. 💻 AI's energy use is 20-40x higher per square foot than anything else that we are familiar with, forcing us to contemplate a tripling of our current energy infrastructure. 💡 1 Chat GPT Request is the equivalent of pouring out a bottle of water & powering a lightbulb for 15 minutes

Check out some cultural insights from our very own Digital Content Manager, Noah Hutchinson on Gen Z, books, and creating belonging and community.
Gen Z loves books, but they love the community books provide even more. Book clubs and reading parties have dominated my social feeds for months, but the trend is more than just a love of fiction. My top thoughts... Free. Most of these are hosted in public spaces, coffee shops, friends houses. Maybe you buy a $8 latte or bring some snacks, but once you have a book you have a community. Wholesome. The sober and non-alcoholic movement has had a bigger impact than I think a lot of folks give credit for. Sure, drinking isn't going anywhere. But the movement has shown to Gen Z that it's possible to have fun outside of the bars and clubs. Low-socialization. I know it's strange to say these social events are thriving because you don't have to socialize, but that's Gen Z for you. We lost formative years of building social skills. These events allow us to ease back into it. You can be around other people but choose to chat with your neighbors or just bury your nose in the book. Escapism. Fantasy and fantasy/romance fiction books are topping the charts among young readers. Why? It's our way to escape from the demands of todays world. Don't shrug off the power of dragons and magic. Phone-Free. If it weren't for the fact that I work in social, I would run to the store for a flip phone with no apps but text and call. But like me, digital detoxes are unrealistic for most Gen Zers with their work, social, and personal lives reliant on smart phones. Books provide an out, even for just an hour or two. This TikTok from Jacey Adler at Reading Rhythms in NYC was the light bulb moment that made me realize this wasn't a fringe trend. Gen Z and Millenial readers are changing the game! #bookclub #readingparty #booktok #genz

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has rapidly become a part of our lives over the past year. At The Dealey Group, we've been exploring ways to incorporate AI into our processes while also examining its environmental impact. Here are some surprising facts we found, which might surprise you too. 👇 ☁️ The internet isn’t just in the ‘cloud’ - it occupies vast expanses of land housing massive computers known as data centers. 🔋 AI's increasing demand is driving the need for more power from these data centers at an unsustainable rate. 🌊 AI servers require significant water cooling—enough to fill 2,500 Olympic-sized pools annually. Each day we determine how to interact with AI, and, as you can see, those decisions have a surprising yet notable environmental impact. Stay tuned for more in our series on how AI affects our environment.
