Rich 2-way messaging channels, such as RCS and WhatsApp, make it possible to deliver engaging, AI driven, user experiences, for a large number of use cases - across marketing, commerce, discovery, upsell, and support - what is being called Conversational AI. We had a great panel at the Conversational AI event this week in Palo Alto, hosted by the The Deep-Tech Community. I was joined by Arjun S. of Astha, and Christopher Radanovic of Infobip, in the panel hosted by David Fernandez Vinuales, as we discussed the use cases, Voice AI, and the pros and cons of RCS vs WhatsApp for driving the AI driven conversations. Had an incredible time in Palo Alto meeting founders and industry experts in the world of AI for manufacturing and supply chain. Here's what I learned: Leading hardware companies are sending their execs to these events to find startups to partner with. Met some that are actively looking for AI solutions that they can integrate into their workflows to accelerate their repetitive processes. Also had a great conversation with the startup that won the Plug and Play Tech Center- Mitsubishi Challenge. After exchanging some thoughts with him, it's clear that there is a lot of room to innovate in the hardware vertical. I also had some deep conversations with Kartheek and Hans from TheAgentic and discussed about technical best practices to build highly tailored AI solutions. If you're building AI agents, make specialized agents for each task instead of trying to do too many things with just a single agent. The big question everyone had on top of their minds - how do you compete with the major players? The answer: be domain-specific. It was amazing event co-hosted by Bishnu Bista, Arjun S. and Nigol Bista. We had fun connecting and discussing about the Deep-Seek model. It was an absolute pleasure meeting the “AI Community Man of Silicon Valley” himself, Arjun S.. His remarkable contributions to fostering a resilient AI ecosystem are truly commendable. Arjun has been a pivotal bridge, connecting CTOs and VCs, and enabling the convergence of like-minded innovators to scale incredible ideas. Attending his event (with some great pizza on the side!) was an amazing experience. This evening, I attended the AI/ML Infra Builders, Executives & VCs event at VC Nest in Palo Alto, and it was an inspiring experience!
