Our Building Products Customer event was fantastic this year! A great time to hear directly from architects and contractors, and enjoy connecting with so many manufacturers and suppliers networked. To close out Day 1 of the 2025 Building Products Customer Workshop, we were pleased to bring to the stage several architects, builders, and influencer Steve Ford, to answer questions directly from each of the manufacturers attending the event. We heard perspectives on: - What manufacturers should STOP doing when trying to reach Pros - How Pros like to be interacted with in general - Ways in which Pros are changing their work processes to address their challenges - How manufacturers can build and maintain partnerships with influencers Tomorrow, we'll dig into more findings from the custom research we conducted on current attitudes and behaviors of specialty trades customers and DIYers. The 2025 Building Product Customer Workshop has officially kicked-off! Each year we get a read of the room about how people are currently feeling about the building products market moving forward. We saw no hands raised when asking about negative or neutral sentiments and only hands raised with some level of positive sentiments. We have also now heard from Danushka Nanayakkara of NAHB on the macro-economic forces impacting the housing and remodeling industries and what those forecasts are expected to be in future years. For the rest of the day we'll be digging into our firm's market research findings from the Building Products Customer study that we conduct annually for this event, in partnership with Venveo. As Thanksgiving approaches, it’s a reminder of all we have to be grateful for. I was one of many fortunate to celebrate the amazing career achievements of our Co-Founder, and long-time President, Brad Farnsworth as he enters retirement (or as close as he's going to get). This photo speaks volumes. Included are past and current The Farnsworth Group colleagues across the country spanning our 35-year history. Not pictured are the many clients and industry colleagues that made the trip to celebrate Brad and his accomplishments. A great week at Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI) EQUIP EXPO. Interesting to see manufacturers increase their focus on gas power. Some battery focused manufacturers are now offering gas power in their line up this year. We too are noticing a flatting on the adoption curve along with budget considerations cooling batteries share gain of recent years.
