AP Capstone Coordinator at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute

After eight years, it’s time for the AP Capstone program to level up. We’ve had a fantastic start and buildup of this program, and are incredibly grateful for everyone’s support and encouragement to reach this point. And here we go! https://lnkd.in/et_HiRiv For three decades, the Ingenuity Program has supported students in their STEM laboratory research, in partnership with some of the most prestigious post-secondary research institutions in the Baltimore area. And in nearly all those years, students have had an opportunity to present their research findings at an annual symposium. https://lnkd.in/et_HiRiv This year, on May 23, 2024, the AP Capstone program at the Baltimore Polytechnic institute will be joining the Ingenuity Project in cohosting the evolution of that symposium, the STEM Student Leadership Conference. This conference will be held at Morgan State University, and will include a full day of programming for the 300 students in attendance. https://lnkd.in/et_HiRiv We are issuing a Call for Proposals!! We are seeking presenters who are excited about the opportunity to affirm and inspire students from different cultures, identities, and backgrounds to pursue STEM careers. Sessions should consider the voices of the communities we serve across Baltimore City. Through hands-on STEM experiences and interactive sessions, our inaugural Student STEM Leadership Conference will help Polytechnic Institute students explore three core areas for STEM Leadership: Collaboration, Innovation, and Curiosity to cultivate individual growth and inspire students to apply their knowledge and skills for the betterment of society.
