I had the opportunity to speak with The Institute for Journalism and Social Change about my reporting on Bridge International Academies, a chain of low-cost schools operating in impoverished areas in Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Liberia, and India. Funded in part by the The World Bank, Bridge has been the center of a number of scandals, including a 2016 incident in which a teacher raped more than a dozen pre-teenaged girls.
