As 2024 comes to a close, we are filled with so much gratitude for everything that our supporters made possible this year! From volunteers making meals, blankets, and holiday gifts; to our corporate partners providing donations that sometimes fill our office from floor to ceiling; to staff that work tirelessly to serve youth and are showing up in community spaces; to our incredible donors who make life-changing moments possible; THANK YOU! 💛

As a senior in high school, Julian was sleeping on a family member’s porch with no heat or electricity. Our Street Outreach team helped Julian get his basic needs met, obtain an ID and social security card, and begin the housing process. Julian now has an apartment of his own in The Link's Suburban Housing Program and continues to meet with staff regularly to work toward his goals. As the first of his siblings to graduate high school, he is excited to attend community college next spring. Thank you to the Minnesota Vikings and 3M for hosting another amazing Winter Wonderland Holiday Party for the youth at The Link! Young people got the true VIP experience - including festive activities, gifts, and hanging out with players. We are so grateful for ALL the Minnesota Vikings do for youth and The Link and in our community. And of course, a huge tribute to the two GOAT Vikings, our Founders and inspiration—Jim Marshall and Oscar Reed!

The Link was honored to work with Hennepin County Security to provide training on best practices for working with youth and responding to young people in crisis. It was amazing to see how officers are trained to work from a model of trauma informed care and partnership with community!
