AMRs and AGVs Providers; Quick discovery; In US, there is no OSHA standards for Automated Forklift. It is the same training for manual forklift driver. This will put more burden on Ops team to enact compliance. In UK is different. There are 3 different licenses you need to get. It might be a Euro standard. Automated Storage Solutions Episode 7; Preventive Actions; Recommendations/Advice; *To have multiple sources in terms of solutions and partners during design sessions; Not necessarily for PO negotiations!! *To share findings with other industry experts as well as experienced stakeholders in terms of facility, technology, physical systems,etc. *To prepare facts mentioned in Episode 6 prior to design sessions in order to question every single details from concept to delivery. *To engage various technical teams to ensure adaptability of the software to which in-house WMS integrates as well as Soft-Bot/Controller (in case of multiple solutions from various providers, WES, WCS); technicalities has to be tested and approved by all parties. *To look into long term values such as uncertainty with economy and the impact on spare parts, labor, Mis-pick (higher freight cost, lower credibility for downstream), expansion/growth based on demand forecasting, resource requirements and contingency plans, effectiveness of inventory accuracy, so on and so forth. Our experience speaks louder. If we don’t know, we figured it out as every challenge has a unique solution there is no “one size fit all”. We also support you in Org. Automated Storage Solutions: Episode 7; Decision-making/Planning; The final solution firmly depends on picking processes and WMS adaptability. critical facts to gather by Operations (ASRS requirements): *Load Units: Similar size and weight or non-standardized products. *Throughput Requirements: Peak throughput hours or times of the year! *KPIs: -Orders per day -Picks per day -Number of SKU in the storage -Number of Active SKU per day *Storage Requirements: -Temperature-controlled storage -Dry Facility -SKU attributes and the effect on capacity *Policy Compliance: Additional safety and security measures. *Building situations: -Existing building: slow transition without compromising production is highly recommended: -knowing where the structure sits -Facility dimensions (height clearance) -New building provides more leverage in terms of different solutions and scalability. -ASRS detailed plans and layout needs to be approved prior to construction. -High bay solution would be a support structure for the facility. *Operations Schedule: -The more hours of production, the faster ROI! -Additional shifts as well as space can be repurposed for future growth. *Future Expansion: The solution needs to be in the area where you are able to expand the real state.
