  • So excited to introduce you all to my amazing business coach, Libby Robertson - kicking off our 2025 podcast season with an inspiring chat about how we as business owners can 𝘊𝘖𝘓𝘓𝘌𝘊𝘛𝘐𝘝𝘌𝘓𝘠 create whole new paradigm of business. If you're tired of the old, traditional systems of business and are ready to do things differently this year, wrap your ears around this one (then, let's chat 😉)... In here we discuss: 🎙️ When adversity really spells opportunity (hint: it's time to take the leap) 🎙️ The power of purpose, wealth and mindset combined 🎙️ What the new paradigm of business looks like and what it'll take from us as business owners to BE the change Tune in to Collectively's Episode 12 on all major podcast platforms including: Apple: https://lnkd.in/gypE9ycR Spotify: https://lnkd.in/gWt37Y3P We'd love to hear your thoughts on this one... #nzbusiness #marketingpodcast #thrivein2025 #timeforchange #paradigmshift

  • If you haven't been yet, put The Hotel Britomart on your 2025 bucket list. It's our first Sustainability Superstar for the year. Chris and I were lucky enough to book a last minute escape last week, to experience the comfort and calm of The Hotel Britomart, set within the waterfront hustle of downtown Auckland. We were blown away by all the design and sustainability details, from the welcome on arrival with guides on everything inside and within the nine-block neighbourhood, to the thoughtful regeneration of the building and consciously considered interiors. It's no surprise that the hotel is the first in the country to achieve 5 Green Stars by the NZ Green Building Council. We took advantage of being so close to some of the best food in NZ too, visiting Advieh for dinner and resident restaurant, Kingi for breakfast. Both highlights 👌 With increasing demand for eco-tourism worldwide (global eco-tourism is forecasted to generate $665.2 billion in revenue by 2030), The Hotel Britomart's choices and achievements make it a brand leader in hospitality. And, this is a trend that spans far beyond hospo. If you're not yet sure how you'll meet similar shifts in consumer preferences in your industry, let's chat. Future generations will look back at ours and either shake their heads in disgust, pity our ignorance or be proud of the leaders that started to make a difference. Which will you be? *This is one in a series of positive business stories, to promote ethical and sustainable businesses. We don't work with all the brands featured in this series and we don't get these products or experiences gifted, we just genuinely admire the good work they're doing to BE the change. Know another one? Please tag them in the comments. #sustainablesuperstars #ecotourism #sustainablebusiness #betterbusiness #reimaginingbusiness #consciousdesign

  • Do you know your Human Design and how it could work for (and against) you in business? When I learned more about Human Design, it explained so much about the way I operate. I'm a Manifestor, which means I'm here to initiate change. My pace is fast, but I also need a lot of rest, which explained my burnouts every 3-5 years 🥵... A Manifestor is just one of five different Human Design types. Do you know which one you are? Learn the types and how they could help you form better relationships inside (and outside) of your business in our latest 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘺 episode, with guest speaker Kim from KbH Coaching. Then, go and check out which type you are. It takes 30 seconds to find out on Kim's website. • I discovered Human Design by working with Kim from KbH Coaching and it's given me so many insights into why and how I operate the way I do. Human Design isn't just another personality test. It combines astrology, the Chinese I Ching, Judaic Kabbalah, Vedic philosophy and modern physics, to give a very in-depth understanding of yourself (and others if you run their charts too 😉). As business owners, it always starts and ends with us. Understanding ourselves and the way we impact others and the world around us is fundamental to our success. It's the difference between operating in flow and with ease, and always working on the edge of burnout. Which is why we decided to release this episode right before Christmas, when relationships are at their peak! Whether it's the relationships outside of your business or even your relationship with your business that needs work, tune in to hear how Human Design may be able to help you better navigate 2025. Kim is a relationship expert who uses Human Design to help her clients better understand themselves and all the relationships in their lives - partners, kids, colleagues, businesses, money, stuff... It's all in here! Tune in on all major podcast platforms including: 🍎 Apple: https://lnkd.in/gypE9ycR 🎙️ Spotify: https://lnkd.in/gWt37Y3P Then, go run your Human Design chart on Kim's website. • Is your messaging magnetic? If you're struggling with what to say or how to say it, it's impacting your sales. In episode 10 of our COLLECTIVELY podcast, we cover how you can elicit more emotion from your messages, to grab attention and connect with your ideal customers in ways that make them feel you're speaking directly to them. This is the difference between speaking to their minds and speaking directly into their hearts ❤️ And, it's super important because the majority of our purchases are not rational, regardless of whether they are consumer or business based decisions. We are driven by emotions - will your product or service either help me avoid pain or help me experience pleasure? Tune in to episode 10 to get the low-down on how to give your ideal customers all the feels when they connect with your brand. 🎙️ COLLECTIVELY is available on all major podcast platforms, including: Apple: https://lnkd.in/gypE9ycR Spotify: https://lnkd.in/gWt37Y3P #collectivelypodcast #marketingpodcast #marketingmessaging #copywritingforconnection #smallbusinessmarketing #marketingtips

  • Are you too close to your own marketing? Like a builder who's house is never finished, my own marketing is always the last to get done. There's so much I want to do, but often I also need a second pair of eyes and ears to hit the mark. We're often too close to our businesses, we make assumptions that others know what we mean. That they've heard it all before, so we don't always say what we need to in a way that resonates for our audience. In just two one-on-one sessions, we were able to reset some core messaging for a new client. We started with the problems her ideal customers were facing. This came easy to her because she's been working with them for years - she's great at what she does and can articulate exactly what she solves for. Sometimes you're soooooo close, but that little bit that's off is stopping your customers from converting. Sometimes, it takes an outside view to see the small thing that needs tweaking. That's what we did with her messaging and a month-in, she's already getting feedback from her audience that it's 'spot on'. They are eagerly anticipating her offer now after just a couple of teaser messages. Monica and I talk about this in our latest 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘺 episode: Connecting with your audience through emotion. 🎙️ COLLECTIVELY is available on all major podcast platforms, including: Apple: https://lnkd.in/gypE9ycR Spotify: https://lnkd.in/gWt37Y3P #collectivelypodcast #marketingpodcast #socialproof #marketingcoach #marketingmessage

  • Again for those in the back... you don't sell products and services. You sell emotional payoffs ❤️ In our latest episode of COLLECTIVELY, we talk about why leading with emotion creates the connection you need to sell, how to understand the emotional drivers behind purchasing decisions, and why storytelling will be one of your best brand assets. This episode is a very practical follow-on from our last ep on Target Audiences and Personas - it's all about how to use your personas to talk directly to the challenges you're solving for your ideal customers, and how to do that with emotion (not in an icky, creepy way but in a way that feels authentically you). 🎙️ Tune in on all major podcast platforms, including: Apple: https://lnkd.in/gypE9ycR Spotify: https://lnkd.in/gWt37Y3P #collectivelypodcast #authenticselling #authenticmarketing #connection #positioning #messaging

  • Looking for guilt-free gifting this year? December's Sustainable Superstar is a new Kiwi eCommerce site called Shop Good. A portion of every purchase you make on ShopGood goes to your chosen charity, and you can see exactly how much is donated for each item. Charities are constantly being added but for now, you can select from Canteen Aotearoa or Tania Dalton Foundation. Have you considered a give-back for your website checkout? In addition to helping you communicate your brand stories in ways that feel aligned, I also help businesses conduct due-diligence on charities to ensure they're connecting with the most impactful causes that matter to them. If this is something you want to consider as part of your 2025 marketing plan, DM me your initial thoughts and let's start looking at options. And, if you're already doing something like this but holding back talking about it, let's also chat! The cause you're supporting needs you to help spread the word, so let's find a way that feels authentic and transparent, together. #shopgood #givingback #consciousconsumer #businessforgood #socialimpact #businessimpact #leadwithpurpose #sustainablesuperstar 𝘔𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘤 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘵: 𝘊𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘥𝘺 𝘪𝘯 𝘊𝘢𝘪𝘤𝘰𝘴

  • Thank goodness for editing 🤦🏽♀️ Let's face it, we all have OFF days and recording episode nine was definitely one of those days for me... But, as business owners, we still get to show up, brain farts and all and just do our best 💨💨💨 It's the small, consistent movements forward that make a difference. Progress over perfection. Which is why I wanted to share this with you, and all it's imperfection! Episode nine actually turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself. Thanks to some miraculous editing by my Assistant, Jo and loads of wisdom from Monica at Mark My Words. We live in a diverse world and many of the persona templates available don't make allowances for cultural bias and changes in customer sentiment. In this episode we share how to define your target audience without stereotyping and bias. So, you can get closer to your ideal customer AND not sound tone deaf. • Willy Wonka - the original purpose-led entrepreneur and marketer extraordinaire! Wonka is all about being different AND making a difference. He's great at surprising and delighting his customers, and bringing magic into their every day lives. When was the last time you felt your business was doing this? With over 15 years managing a children's charity in Cambodia, our Founder Marijke has a unique insight into what really happens to poor communities when governments and businesses take advantage. She's seen exploitation of marginalised communities by big fashion brands, first-hand. If you want to be more involved in supporting such communities and creating a critical mass of better businesses, let's connect. We're working on some new resources to help you have more impact in 2025 and one of these will be business trips out to Cambodia! We'll be offering limited places to businesses looking to engage their teams in fundraising and travel - the culmination being a trip to visit those you've supported and engage in hands-on volunteering to create real impact. We'll help you package the comms up in ways that feel authentic and aligned, too. Comment 'Cambodia' if you want to see what this might look like for your business. And, if you have any favourite charities you support, tag them too as we're looking to build partnerships for businesses to make even more impact through other charities also! #causemarketing #charity #businesstrips #volunteering #responsiblebusiness #betterbusiness #employeeengagement
