Last weekend, over 130 middle school students and their families gathered at the Museum for the 2025 Michael P. Anderson Program kickoff! The mentors for our annual Michael P. Anderson Memorial Aerospace Program gathered recently for an engaging training session, preparing to guide 214 students into STEM, aviation and space careers. This program is all about creating meaningful access, celebrating diversity and fostering a community where every student has the opportunity to succeed. #Mentors like these are at the heart of what makes this work impactful. their dedication to equipping the next generation with skills and inspiration is nothing short of extraordinary. Planning your long weekend? The Museum of Flight is open all week for our normal operation hours, 10 AM - 5 PM, except for Thanksgiving Day (11/28). The Museum of Flight is open every day of the year except for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Dozens of budding scientists from across the Puget Sound region gathered for the latest Amelia’s Aero Club meetup! With guidance from mentors from Bristol Myers Squibb, these young women conducted experiments about molecular structure, created a zine that reflected their interests in science, and built friendships with other middle school girls who love to discover! Special thanks to the volunteers from Bristol Myers Squibb for making the day so memorable. Amelia’s Aero Club is a Museum of Flight program inviting middle school girls (grades 6–8) to dive into STEM and kick off their journey to become the next generation of innovators.
