About us
Founded in 1915 as an orphanage in the District of Columbia, NCCF is a private, nonprofit child and family welfare agency with a commitment to serving poor, disadvantaged, abused, neglected and/or abandoned children, youth, and their families. Current program services include emergency shelters and transitional housing for homeless families, a high-intensity therapeutic group home, therapeutic and traditional foster care and adoption, independent living for youth transitioning to adulthood, teen parent services, and community-based prevention services that promote academic achievement, parental involvement, economic and vocational stability, and healthy families. Our programs have become social service models, redefining both NCCF’s reputation and the agency’s position in the human service continuum in the Washington Metropolitan Region.

😍 We spy some cuties from Bells Mill elementary school here at our Bethesda Campus! The Kindergarten service project this year was to collect socks for those in need. They got the whole school involved and brought 7 bags of new socks for our families 🧦❤️ we are so grateful for kiddos like these in our community #kidshelpingkids

Are your 🕷️ senses tingling? That's because you need to help us wish our HERO, Atlas a Happy 5th Birthday 🎂 Atlas is a superhero because his birthday wish was to donate sandwiches to kids in need. So we called @jerseymikes and made it happen for him! He hosted #TastyTuesday tonight with his family and we did trivia, ate brownies, and sang happy birthday to the coolest little spiderman ever 🕷️ #nccfcares #kidshelpingkids #superhero

At 46, Viola Davis and her husband, Julius Tennon, welcomed their daughter Genesis into their family through adoption as a newborn. *Inspiring story! In Arizona, Native American children are overrepresented in the foster care system, yet there is a shortage of Native American foster parents to provide culturally rooted care. Elisia Manuel is working to change that—giving kids in her community not only clothes and education but also a connection to their Native heritage. Read more about her inspiring efforts here: https://lnkd.in/gCttE4N7 #NCCFCares
