NIDA is launching a new workgroup that aims to improve community engagement, and you may qualify to participate! This new workgroup will be made up of people with lived/living experience with substance use, and will advise on ways to enhance and increase meaningful community engagement in NIDA-funded research. A 🆕 study funded in part by The National Institutes of Health is developing and testing a device that could help detect an overdose and automatically administer naloxone. The device, called the Naloximeter, is about three-quarters the size of a pacemaker and can be implanted under the skin.
