The North Carolina Association of Nurse Anesthetists (NCANA) is the healthcare professional organization representing approximately 3,400 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) and student nurse anesthetists. As anesthesia experts, CRNAs deliver high-quality anesthesia care in every type of healthcare facility and for every type of procedure that requires anesthesia services. Using their critical care nursing background and graduate-level anesthesia education and training, these skilled professionals provide more than 2.5 million anesthetics each year to patients across North Carolina.

SRNA TAKEOVER ALERT🔇 HAPPY HALLOWEEN! DID YOU KNOW? As of June 2024, Massachusetts became the 25th state to opt-out from physician supervision. Opting out does not result in practice or policy changes, it only indicates Medicare does not require supervision as a condition for reimbursement. North Carolina has yet to become an opt-out state. Help our state increase access to safe and affordable anesthesia care by donating to our PAC today! SRNA TAKEOVER ALERT🔇 DID YOU KNOW? In 2010 a provision to the Affordable Care Act was passed to stop health insurers from setting up different reimbursement policies for providers delivering the same care. Despite this, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and Cigna have recently announced CRNAs will receive 15% less than other anesthesia providers for delivering the same high-quality services. Because of this, the AANA has filed a petition asking the Secretary of Health and Human Services to enforce the provider non-discrimination provision of the Affordable Care Act. (LINK IN BIO) Now it is more important than ever to donate to your PAC! Any amount of support counts, consider signing up for reoccurring monthly payments to continue supporting the future of your profession. Fight for CRNAs and our patients! https://loom.ly/22KlSCU #NCANA #CRNA #SRNA #RRNA #nurseanesthetist #advocacy #nursing #anesthesia #healthcare #CRNAstrong
