Last week, Notpla, together with The Plastek Group UK, received the Polymer Innovation of the Year 2024 award at the Plastics Industry Awards for our rigid chip fork.🍴✨ The award highlights the work we’ve been doing to rethink single-use items and explore how natural materials can replace plastic. The chip fork is part of this journey—a functional tool that biodegrades naturally, leaving no trace behind. Thank you to the Plastics Industry Awards for recognising this innovation and to everyone who’s supported us along the way. This wouldn’t have been possible without collaboration, and we’re glad to be working with partners like Plastek UK. 💪

The Notpla Chip Fork is made purely from seaweed using Notpla Rigid material, which is viable for use in traditional injection moulding machines and falls outside of the single use plastics ban.
