The past three months studying CLER 1.0: Founding Principles & Local Government with The Policy Circle have been an incredibly impactful experience. I’ve gained valuable insights into engaging with the election process at the local level, amplifying my voice, and deepening my understanding of civic leadership. Even more, I had the privilege of learning alongside an inspiring group of dynamic, thoughtful, and diverse women leaders who enriched every discussion and encouraged me to grow in meaningful ways. A heartfelt thank you to Tyechia Brown, Sierra Martinez, Helen Aguirre Ferre, Cathrene "Cat" Nichols, Tracy Gardner, Ph.D., Kathryn Thomas, Jo Jensen, Kim Borchers, and so many others who were part of this transformative journey. I’m proud to announce I’ve earned the Civic Leadership Roadmap (CLER) certification from Canvas Credentials (Badgr)

  • The Texas Governor recently issued an executive order to arrest CCP operatives in Texas aiming “to protect Texans from the coordinated harassment and coercion by the People's Republic of China (PRC) or the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)." The order represents rising concerns many have around the threat China poses to our security. View Governor Abbott's executive order and read more about this pressing issue in The Policy Circle's Brief: China and the Risk to our Daily Lives at the links below. Gov. These appointments bring the spotlight to security clearances and the roles within the executive branch. The Cabinet’s fifteen executive department heads, along with countless federal agencies, are all part of the executive branch. Want to understand their structure, responsibilities, and impact?
