🗓 12 February, International Day for the Prevention of Violent Extremism as and when Conducive to Terrorism 🗺️ It's a day that demands our attention, a day for reflection, and a day for action. #Violent #extremism, in all its forms, is a scourge on #humanity. It thrives on division, preys on #vulnerability, and twists narratives to justify violence and hatred. It knows no borders, respects no creed, and leaves a trail of #devastation wherever it goes. But we refuse to stand idly by. We believe in the power of #unity, the #strength of #diversity, and the unwavering hope for a more #peaceful world. This day is a call to action for each and every one of us. It's a reminder that we all have a role to play in #countering the forces of extremism. We must challenge the ideologies that fuel hate, promote #CriticalThinking to resist manipulation, and invest in #education that #fosters #tolerance and understanding. Let's build bridges of #dialogue, understanding, and respect. Let's celebrate our differences and embrace our #shared humanity. This is not just a fight against violence; it's a fight for a better future, a future where peace prevails, where communities thrive, and where extremism finds no fertile ground. 📄 Read more : https://lnkd.in/dnzjd7uh #POPMovement #ProtectOurPlanetMovement #CounteringTerrorism #Justice #Equality #NoToViolence #PeaceForAll #ActForPeace #MakeADifference #YouthForPeace #GlobalCommunity #TogetherWeCan

🗓 10 February, International Day of the Arabian Leopard 🐆 The #Arabian #leopard is a critically #endangered leopard subspecies that inhabits the Arabian Peninsula. It is one of the #smallest leopard #subspecies, with an average weight of 30-40 kg for males and 25-35 kg for females. Its fur is pale and buff-colored with rosettes that are small and closely spaced. The Arabian area has a very limited distribution, being found only in a few #isolated pockets of #habitat in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Yemen, and the United Arab Emirates. Estimates suggest there may be fewer than 200 Arabian leopards left in the #wild. Threats to the species include #urbanization, #farming, #overgrazing by livestock, poaching, and the illegal #wildlife trade. Conservation efforts focus on #habitat protection, #restoration of natural prey populations, and public education programs to reduce human-leopard conflict. The Arabian leopard is legally protected across its range, but greater enforcement of laws and active management of surviving populations are needed to ensure the #species' survival. The plight of the Arabian leopard demands our attention and action. As the society, we have the power to make a difference. By supporting #conservation initiatives, #advocating for stronger #protections, and raising awareness, we can ensure that future #generations inherit a world where these leopards roam free. 📄 Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/dqA3w75N #POPMovement #ProtectOurPlanetMovement #WildlifeConservation #EndangeredSpecies #ProtectWildlife #Biodiversity
