We live in a simulation. Some people believe the classic movie The Matrix is more factual than fiction. They believe we may all be living in a complex computer simulation. While great minds try to discover a viable red pill to prove their simulation theory, we can accept the reality that our thoughts subjectively create our individual experience of reality. We think our experience of reality is reality. Our thoughts are projected onto our conscious awareness in near real-time and create a virtual reality that we are convinced is real. The most significant difference between any two people is their thoughts. Our minds consist of at least sixteen members of our mental board of directors. Each director has a specific area of responsibility that they focus our attention on as we experience our environment, situations, sensations, and thoughts. Each of these directors is responsible for evaluating if whatever we are experiencing is of value and might satisfy their immediate need. If a significantly influential director becomes aware of an opportunity to satisfy their need, they immediately release the energy to pursue their desire. This mental energy release is called motivation. Our mental board approves all motivation. Motivation is not activated by external means or by other people. The Reiss Motivation Profile® was developed by researcher Professor Steven Reiss, Ph.D., to allow you to understand your board of directors' values judgments, help you satisfy their/your needs, and experience values-based happiness.
