I am so proud to share that this weekend, The Vanderbilt Hustler won 35(!) national awards at the annual Associated Collegiate Press/ College Media Association convention in New Orleans! To go in depth about each story and reporter would take years, so I want to highlight and thank just a few. Student journalism is important now more than ever. As sports editor of the The Vanderbilt Hustler, I had the pleasure of covering the game from the press box at Vanderbilt Football's FirstBank Stadium. What a wild weekend it was on West End! Vanderbilt Football made national media after it took down the previously top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide in a 40-35 thriller. Not only did I witness one of the biggest upsets in my school's history, but I got to etch my name into history through coverage with The Hustler. Check out a few of my articles below!
