We're delighted to share that our tenant, Novo Lounge, spread festive cheer by serving over 60 Christmas dinners to the local community of Harlow on Christmas Day. This heart-warming initiative brought smiles, joy, and comfort to those in need during the festive season. A special thank you goes to our other tenant, Asda, as well as our dedicated security and cleaning provider, PSS, here at the Water Gardens. Their generous donations of food and vouchers made this wonderful event possible. In collaboration with Michael Robert's Charity Trust, Novo Lounge opened its doors on Christmas Day, providing a warm, welcoming space for individuals who might otherwise have spent Christmas alone. This act of kindness ensured that everyone could enjoy a free, hot Christmas dinner in good company. We're proud to see our tenants and partners at the Water Gardens coming together to make a positive impact in the Harlow community. This truly embodies the spirit of Christmas! Dionne Thomas

At the Water Gardens, we're proud to partner with local Harlow College on a Future Talent Fashion Programme. We work closely with the college to provide students with a live brief to work on. The process begins with students creating a mood board to showcase their vision for the Visual Merchandising Pods. They then select products from our diverse range of fashion and lifestyle brands to design the pods that align with their brief. We're delighted to announce Abi Dukes as our Visual Merchandise Pod Winner for Christmas. This year, Abi drew inspiration from the 2024 bow trend, incorporating leopard prints, wine red, and burgundy into her design. Learning Outcomes: • Practical experience in visual merchandising • Understanding of retail product selection and display • Development of creativity and styling skills • Insight into marketing and social media in retail This programme offers a unique, hands-on opportunity for a student to experience the dynamic world of visual merchandising, blending creativity with practical retail skills in a real-world setting. 🌈 Celebrating Community Spirit at the Rainbow Service's Volunteer Forum! 🌈 On August 21st, we gathered at the Water Gardens for the Rainbow Services Volunteer Forum, and what a day it was! 🎉 With over 23 local services joining us, including the Asda Foundation, Harlow College, Open Road, and many more, the event was a true testament to the power of collaboration and community support. From networking opportunities to inspiring discussions, the forum was all about connecting local services, sharing resources, and finding new ways to support those in need. 💪 A huge thank you to everyone who participated, shared their stories, and contributed to this incredible day! 🙌

Sostrene Grene is set to open at The Water Gardens Harlow this Autumn. The Danish family-owned retail chain has started fitting out a 6,000 sq ft unit which will be the new home of affordable, Scandinavian style furniture, kitchenware and crafts. Due to open mid September, this deal comes hot on the heels of Waterstones which opened earlier this year. These new lettings further establish The Water Gardens as a key shopping destination for the catchment. #retail
