This year, we celebrate 25 years of The Bristal communities. In 2000, The Bristal at East Meadow opened its doors and changed the landscape of assisted living on Long Island. Over the years we have grown to 24 communities across Long Island, Westchester County, Manhattan, and New Jersey. To honor Black History Month, The Calvary Baptist Church Gospel Choir, under the direction of Reverend Dr. Erwin Lee Trolinger, Jr, delivered an inspiring performance for the residents of The Bristal at White Plains. Alongside their soulful singing, the Reverend shared the powerful stories and hidden meanings behind historic Gospel songs, shedding light on their profound influence. Both residents and staff were captivated by the beautiful performance while gaining a deeper understanding of how Gospel music has shaped the history and culture of African Americans, from the era of slavery to modern times.
