Catalyze advances career-connected learning through grantmaking, research and insights, movement building, and transformative storytelling. We help launch and support ambitious new programs that provide young people with the relevant skills necessary for the jobs they want in a pathway that works for their unique needs. Since 2021, Catalyze has awarded more than $15 million to 60 organizations through national and regional challenges, with an estimated positive impact on more than 65,000 learners across the United States. As one of the nation’s largest communities of practice focused on career-connected learning, Catalyze is moving the field forward to change the ways students are introduced to and interact with potential career pathways throughout their educational experience. A collaborative funding initiative managed by Common Group, Catalyze receives financial support from leading philanthropies and investors committed to providing students with opportunities to build agency throughout their learning and career journeys.

🚀 Our Catalyze Case Studies highlight innovative and impactful career-connected learning models from our community of practice. Launchpad, a program by Building 21, offers a blend of coding bootcamps and real-world experience and is setting Philadelphia’s youth on a path to success in IT. With certifications, paid internships, and high-demand skills, learners are set up for fulfilling careers. Here’s how: • 77% of learners developed clearer career goals and began taking actionable steps toward achieving them. • 80% of participants reported increased confidence in decision-making, goal-setting, and problem resolution. • Learners earn up to $18,000 through stipends and internships, breaking barriers to career access. Launchpad empowers learners to achieve first-year earnings of $50,000 or more in high-growth tech fields.
