January is Birth Defects Awareness Month. Every year, thousands of families are impacted by birth defects, including congenital heart defects (#CHDs) — America's most common type of birth defect, affecting nearly 1 out of every 110 babies. At The Children’s Heart Foundation, we’re committed to advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects through research. Together, we can continue to improve outcomes and bring hope to those affected by CHDs. ❤️

TODAY is the last day to make a tax-deductible donation to The Children’s Heart Foundation in 2024. Why give? Congenital heart defects are the most common birth defect in the nation, impacting one baby every 15 minutes. The Children’s Heart Foundation exists to make sure these babies live long, healthy lives. ❤ With your support, we're funding research that is helping to do just that. Please help move our mission forward with a donation of any amount: https://lnkd.in/ggYN3NS7

This past Saturday, on December 14th, The Children's Heart Foundation's Illinois Region hosted the 10th Annual Red Tie Ball, raising an astounding $500,000 for congenital heart defect research! ❤ This achievement is a testament to the passion and hard work of everyone involved. To all who contributed to this remarkable event, thank you and congratulations! Your efforts are making a real difference for individuals and families impacted by congenital heart defects. We were also proud to honor Dr. Josh Wong from Advocate Children's Hospital and Dr. Amanda Hauck from Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago with the 2024 Congenital Heart Defect Champion Awards at the event. They were honored for their outstanding work caring for CHD patients.
