Twenty years ago, Austin Wood and I were a couple of high school sophomores sharing big dreams about the future. Today, we're all in on The Picklr and spending more time with each other than with our wives 😂 Transitioning from best friends to business partners shifts the dynamic of every decision. Every disagreement carries double weight - you're thinking about the company and a lifelong friendship. But on the flip side, you know your relationship is built to withstand enormous pressure. We recognized this early-on and built frameworks for complete honesty between us. Tough conversations often create tension. But we've learned that friction sharpens our decisions. That realization transformed how we approach our partnership. We chase truth rather than try to be right. Each debate brings us closer to our shared vision, strengthening our bond along the way. This partnership has grown far beyond our office walls. Our wives have become best friends, our families vacation together, and every milestone is shared with the people you care about the most.
