About us
This group intends to expand our pilot network and help us all in future endeavors; to “pay it forward’ as it were. With the aviation career field comes the unknown, and a good network is often the difference in sitting on the sidelines or getting into the game. Some of us have the job we want; many of us don’t yet. The Pilot Network gives us the chance to reconnect to old aviation colleagues, seek out new avenues within this great career, or just give a helping hand to those coming up in this vocation. We have grown to over 19,000 members and add more every day! We need to branch out: Facebook is only the beginning of the TPN platform. Stay tuned for big things! Whether you are seasoned veteran with 10,000 hours or a newbie starting out, the right network can help you find your last job. Thank you and tailwinds!

Unacceptable. As an industry we continue to see the degradation of small fringe benefits that help with our time away from home, which is far greater than many other professions. There are so many better ways to handle this and to make crew members fiercely loyal to the Mariott Corp brand. Let’s let them hear our collective voices!
Aircrews Denied Loyalty Benefits at Marriott — Sign the Petition Now. Airline crew spend about half of each month, or more, on the road and they consider hotels their homes-away-from-home. Lately, many crew members have been denied status from hotels where they have earned loyalty benefits. One concerned pilot has started a petition aimed at Marriott urging change. Click below to read more and sign the petition. Marriott has been contacted for comment. https://lnkd.in/gE5pXMtt

Passing along some info from Jason’s loved ones regarding his celebration of life arrangements: Jason had a lifelong passion for flying and people. At the Air Force Academy Jason discovered the perfect nexus of his dual passions when he earned his rating as a soaring instructor pilot. Being a soaring IP set Jason on the path to mentoring others throughout his life. Jason loved investing in others whether it was about flying, personal finance, or being a friend. His loving, caring and supportive nature imbued every interaction for Jason. After Academy graduation, Jason attended Air Force UPT and went onto fly and instruct in the B-1, U-28, T-6 and E-11A. Jason joined Delta in 2016 with the ambitious goal of earning a type rating in every Delta fleet. Jason was well on his way to his goal having been a first officer on the MD-88, 717 and A220. He upgraded to Captain and continued flying the A220 and most recently the 737. In addition to teaching, Jason was a prolific writer, publishing a book about personal pilot finance in 2019 entitled “Pilot Math Treasure Bath.” He also published innumerable articles, teaching others about flying and financial freedom culminating most recently with leading the Delta ALPA podcast. Jason was a Master CFI with thousands of hours instructing. It wasn’t the hours teaching he valued most but the people he was able to impact. He was joyfully developing a new generation of airline and civil pilots in his motor glider. Jason pretended to be like the rest of us, but really, he was the best of us. He was the best pilot, mentor, and friend. - Jason's friend and Delta pilot assigned by the Chief Pilots' Office Jason passed unexpectedly after an abrupt cardiac event. He is survived by his wife Dr Jen Depew, daughter Bailey, son Jason Jr, parents and a host of loving friends and fellow pilots. Services for Jason will be held on 16 November 2024 at the Serenity Meadows funeral home in Riverview, FL. Viewing from 1100 to 1300 with service to follow at 1300.
