ERGs play a key role in workplace inclusion, yet many ERG leaders take on this work without tangible aid or compensation. ➡️We believe impact deserves recognition—and compensation. That's why, we are launching our 2025 ERG Lead Compensation Survey to get real data on how (or if) ERG leaders are resourced and how much organizations are REALLY investing into ERG longevity. 📢If you’re an ERG leader, HR pro, or DEI practitioner, share your insights here by taking The Rise Journey’s 2025 ERG Lead Compensation Survey: https://lnkd.in/eXq8XFXi Tag other ERG peers to spread the word! #ERGLeadership #EmployeeResourceGroups #DiversityEquityInclusion #InclusionAtWork #ERG

For most adults, learning doesn’t happen in a classroom—it happens at work. Between juggling deadlines, family, and health, formal education often takes a backseat. That’s why workplace education is crucial to building stronger, more inclusive organizations. Yet, some of the most valuable learning spaces—Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)—are under fire. ➡️ When education is blocked, so is progress. 🔎We've seen this before: When difficult inclusion conversations arise, they often get restricted. Funding is cut, programs are deprioritized, and ERG leaders are undervalued. Still, ERG leaders continue to pour their time, energy, and passion into creating inclusive workplaces—often without proper compensation, recognition, or resources. That’s why we’re continuing to push for new data and research. ⤵️ At The Rise Journey, we’re launching our 2025 Annual ERG Lead Compensation Survey to understand: 📊 How ERG leaders are (or aren’t) compensated 📊 How ERGs are driving workplace equity 📊 What support (or lack thereof) companies provide to ERG leaders 📊 How compliance and legal shifts are impacting ERG programs 👥💭Your Voice Matters! If you're an ERG leader, HR professional, DEI practitioner, or executive, your input is essential to creating real change. 📢 Take the survey here: https://lnkd.in/dnbT6b2R If you know someone leading or working alongside an ERG, please tag them or share this post to help amplify our survey. 💜 Interested in learning more about how our ERG Surveys continue to empower organizations and inclusion initiatives through data? 💡 It's Time to Challenge the Status Quo at Work Many workplace norms were built for a different time—before remote work, before the emphasis on mental well-being, and before employees expected to have a balanced work experience grounded on more than just receiving their paycheck. Yet, so many outdated policies persist: ✅ Pay structures that haven’t kept up with inflation ✅ Rigid leave policies and return to office mandates that don’t reflect modern life ✅ Performance metrics that prioritize hours over outcomes Challenging the status quo isn’t easy—it means stepping into the unknown. But progress begins when we ask, “What if there’s a better way?” A Harvard Business Review survey of over 1,000 employees found that only 3% said their leaders always encourage fresh thinking. When leaders are hesitant to embrace change, organizations stagnate and miss out on innovation and engagement. ➡️Read more about how leaders and employees can challenge outdated workplace practices and catalyze meaningful change within organizations in our blog by Jessica Lambrecht: https://lnkd.in/eNMS4RQV #WorkplaceCulture #LeadershipDevelopment #FutureOfWork #EmployeeEngagement

I recently had the chance to share my story with Forbes, and in this article, I share on my personal experience with doubt and mental health as a woman and leader — ‘I Question Whether I’m Capable’: https://lnkd.in/dNGxySH3 For so many of us, entrepreneurship is a way to build a life that 'actually works' for us, and helps us take control and create something meaningful on our own terms. ➡️A huge part of my journey as a leader has been exploring joy. Finding peace, joy, and fulfillment in all aspects of my life has impacted my identity and ability to be a powerful and grounded leader. It’s meant shifting the way I see myself, from someone who HAS to excel, to someone who leads with presence, self-awareness, and curiosity. From: 💭Learning a new language and finding new means and ways to share and communicate complex parts of myself, 👥Building community with those who truly see and support me, 💡To embracing creativity and art, — Expression has always been a way for me to process, connect, and heal. Shameless plug for The Rise Journey here, because working with people who create and who share has been such a personal win. Poetry has shaped my journey—sometimes by listening, sometimes by sharing, sometimes just by letting it wash over me. 💜I feel incredibly grateful to be in a position where I can create spaces for others to experience its impact firsthand: https://lnkd.in/d4YAEfF4 Thank you, Megan J Bruneau, M.A. Psych, for giving me the opportunity to share my journey alongside so many incredible women! #MentalHealth #WomenInBusiness #MindfulLeadership #PoetryCommunity #WomenSupportingWomen

"For me, education means to inspire people to live more abundantly, to learn to begin with life as they find it and make it better." – Carter G. Woodson ✨ Happy Black History Month! ✨ This is a reminder that inclusion is a collective effort—it’s not the responsibility of just one person, one team, or one month. Make organizing Black History Month celebrations collaborative. The goal is to create meaningful opportunities that engage everyone—from leadership to entry-level employees. That means: 👥 Avoid assumptions. Don’t place the responsibility of planning events on Black employees or assume they want to lead. Participation should be voluntary, not an expectation. 💜 Create open spaces for contribution. Encourage input from across the organization to ensure celebrations are inclusive and impactful. 💭Take the time to reflect and learn. When the month comes to a close, take time to evaluate the impact of your efforts. Survey your team to understand – What worked? What was most meaningful? What could be improved? 🔎For more, read our blog by Jhamile Scott, SHRM-CP "6 Ways to Celebrate Black History Month in the Workplace": https://lnkd.in/gF6E8Ra5 Here’s a quick breakdown of her recommended best practices: 1️⃣ Support Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) 2️⃣ Invite inspiring guest speakers 3️⃣ Host educational events that engage everyone 4️⃣ Show your support for Black-owned businesses 5️⃣ Celebrate your team members and their contributions 6️⃣ Practice philanthropy and give back to the community And when February ends... keep the momentum going! Make these practices part of your organization’s culture year-round. #BlackHistoryMonth #LearningAndDevelopment #WorkplaceCulture #CelebrateBlackHistory
