Yesterday we got to visit the bodega of cava Vilarnau, and it was such a unique experience! We learned about the process behind cava and their sustainability practices, at the end of our visit we also got to taste some of their wonderful variants, including some only sold at the vineyard. The vineyard is located an hour away from Barcelona, in the area of d'Espiells in the municipality of Sant Sadurni d'Anoia. Vilarnau is one of the only 14 wineries in Spain to have obtained the Winery for Climate Protection (WfCP) certification. It was truly insightful to learn more about Vilarnau's commitment to sustainability and how they have integrated sustainable practices in their processes. They have reduced fossil fue consumption, they have converted traditional growing techniques to organic, and they have implemented water-saving policies. We’re thrilled to be working with Cava Vilarnau, from the González Byass family, such a special and vibrant brand.
