    RUSSIA ASSUMES CHAIRMANSHIP OF BRICS 2024 200 events, conferences and forums to take place within Russian chairmanship of BRICS in 2024 The plan of activities has been approved following a meeting of the organizing committee chaired by Yury Ushakov, Aide to the Russian President. The goals of the Russian chairmanship of BRICS have also been defined. Among them are: 🔹 providing assistance in the organic integration of new members into the BRICS activities; 🔹 jointly with all BRICS members, finalizing the modalities of the new category of “partner states” of the association. 🗓 The BRICS Summit to take place in Kazan in October 2024 will become the culmination of the Russian chairmanship. The capital of Tatarstan will host the first-ever meeting of the leaders of the expanded BRICS.
