#NEWYORK STATE #CANNABISLAW UPDATE! #NewYorkState recently opened the #application window for the New Adult-Use #Processor Type 3 #branding #license. This license type authorizes the licensee to enter into "white label agreements" with licensed cannabis processors in NYS who will manufacture the brand’s products. IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT this license type DOES NOT allow "plant touching" activities and DOES NOT require a licensed premises in New York State. Moreover, an Adult-Use Processor Type 3 Branding Licensee may only enter into a branding or white labeling agreement with its True Parties of Interest or another authorized licensee. Notably, this framework allows the new Processor Type-3 Branding licensee to pursue white-labeling agreements with duly licensed processors WITHOUT becoming a TPI in another processor.
